Abstract:

This case study looks at MOOG VeriPart, a shared database providing provenance and authenticity per part. Combined with blockchain, additive manufacturing could provide on-demand manufacturing networks for high quality rapid prototyping, start-ups with limited capital access, customized “quantity of one” production runs, and spare parts printed on demand at the point of use.
